Yosemite National Park
Every moment in Yosemite Valley has been truly special to me. Whether it’s spring, summer, fall, or winter, this breathtaking place holds a unique and special spot in my heart. I’m grateful to share its beauty with you—enjoy.
Glacier Point
Dawn's gentle light spills over Half Dome, bathing its iconic granite face in a warm glow of gold and amber. Few experiences in life can rival the awe of witnessing this breathtaking moment.
Southside Drive
Moments after entering Yosemite Valley from Highway 140 or 120, you'll be welcomed by the vibrant colors of fall foliage—a beautiful opening to what you will see on the rest of our journey.
Rock Formations
Yosemite Valley is home to some of the most iconic rock formations in the world. From the towering El Capitan to the unmistakable silhouette of Half Dome, these granite giants stand as timeless symbols of the park's grandeur. Other notable formations include Cathedral Rocks, Sentinel Rock, and the Three Brothers, each with its own unique shape and story.
Solar Maxima
Witnessing the aurora this far south was beyond imagination. The intense solar activity made this possible as we peak in the 11-year solar cycle. On Oct 10, 2024, a powerful solar flare gifted Yosemite a stunning celestial display.

Firefall
2019 — One of the most breathtaking displays of Horsetail Fall in Yosemite. This natural phenomenon occurs in mid-to-late February when the setting sun aligns perfectly to illuminate the waterfall, making it glow like molten lava. The spectacle depends on precise conditions: enough snowmelt to feed the fall, clear skies, and the perfect angle of sunlight. In 2019, all these elements came together to create an unforgettable sight.
Yosemite Falls
Lower Falls, the final cascade of Yosemite Falls, is a stunning 320-foot drop that completes the journey of North America's tallest waterfall. Easily accessible via a short, scenic trail, it's a favorite spot for visitors to feel the mist and marvel at the sheer power of the falls, especially during peak flow in spring. Whether you're enjoying the view from the base or capturing its beauty from afar, Lower Falls is a must-see feature of Yosemite Valley.
Fall Foliage
Fall in Yosemite is pure magic to me. The golden cottonwoods, fiery maples, and rich red oaks paint the valley in colors that take my breath away every year. Walking along the Merced River or driving through Southside Drive feels like stepping into a postcard. It’s a season that reminds me just how special this place truly is.
Winter Wonderland
Yosemite transforms into a serene winter wonderland when the snow blankets the valley. Towering granite peaks glisten under frosty layers, and quiet trails lead to frozen waterfalls and icy meadows. From the calm reflection in Mirror Lake to the magic of snow-covered El Capitan, winter in Yosemite is an unforgettable experience that feels like pure magic.
Shroud
Half Dome takes on an otherworldly beauty when shrouded in winter fog. Its towering granite face emerges and disappears through the mist, creating a scene of quiet mystery and wonder. The soft, diffused light of winter adds to the magic, making this iconic landmark feel even more ethereal.
Yosemite's Winter Veil
Yosemite Valley transforms into a breathtaking snowy paradise during winter. The granite cliffs, towering pines, and open meadows are blanketed in pristine white, creating a scene straight out of a postcard. The hush of the snow adds a peaceful charm, making it the perfect time to experience the valley’s serene beauty. Just remember to bring warm clothes—unless you’re auditioning for a snowman role!
El Capitan and Three Brothers in Winter’s Embrace
Under a fresh coat of snow, El Capitan and the Three Brothers become something more than just landmarks—they feel alive. The towering scale of these cliffs, softened by their snowy veil, stirs a raw, almost overwhelming sense of emotion. Standing beneath them in the quiet of winter, you're reminded of just how small we are, yet how connected we can feel to something so vast and timeless.
Glacier Point
By now, it’s no secret—Glacier Point is my favorite spot in Yosemite, and it’s easy to see why. The view from here is absolutely breathtaking, offering a sweeping panorama of Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, and the vast, sprawling valley below.
